It's Friday, so we take a break from normal work and do activities that promote critical thinking. We've been playing hearts, but now that everyone is good at it and doesn't have to think as much when they play (which is the whole point of the game -- thinking), we're making things a little more difficult: students now have to complete a logic grid puzzle before they can play hearts.

To complete the puzzle, students collaborated in their groups of four. Students who are still having trouble with these puzzles might find this basic video helpful.
This is, of course, a much simpler puzzle than the one's we're facing, but the principles are the same.
