I received a report from Ms. Inchiosa about students' missing work, so I made a quick change of plans today to go over that report with students and give them some insight into how much more difficult it will be to keep track of one's responsibilities the further one travels in life. Students with missing work then spent the rest of the period making up the work (or often finding it in their bookbags, completed but not turned in). (The change of plan happened after I'd set the day's journal topic, hence the disconnect.)
