Today we had a Socratic Seminar about our non-verbal language/body language presentation from earlier, looking at two questions:
- What could we have done to improve our presentations?
- What could Mr. Scott have done to better prepare us for the presentation?

Most students realized with some discussion that I had not provided the best communication regarding the project. Once students were done with the seminar, we had a whole-class debriefing in which I pointed out that I had intentionally been vague about the project. Since we're focusing on communication this second quarter, I wanted to show students the effect of less-than-optimal communication. "I could have told you, or I could have showed you," I explained. I also pointed out that no students really asked for clarification even though they all admitted they were somewhat confused by the assignment.
