One of the requirements from administration is that all students read the student handbook: not necessarily the most engrossing reading, but it's critical that students know what's expected of them. To that end, Mrs. Davis gave the leadership class the task of going through the handbook. To make things more productive, we're using the time to learn how to run literature circles so that we know how they work when we actually use them to read some of the books we have in store this year.

We also used the opportunity to learn how we'll be using Class Dojo (remember that from elementary school?) to make random collaborative groups and to choose students at random.

In short, we're laying the foundation for everything else we're doing this year.
