Fridays in sixth-grade leadership are always critical thinking game days, and this first quarter we're playing Hearts, a game that takes only a few minutes to learn but some amount of time to master. It's a game that requires card counting -- thereby improving kids' memory -- and critical thinking when it comes time to play a card in a given hand. The rules are fairly simple, and it's a game that kids come to enjoy.
Next week, students will be completing our goal-setting unit with a major-grade goal-setting project and some discussion.
