Comic Relief

Tuesday 16 September 2025

A goal is only useful insofar as we see it through. If we don't, it's fairly useless. Today we looked at how we might possible fail to follow through but in a lighthearted way: students discussed, planned, and created a comic strip about someone who goes through all the plans to make a great goal but the fails to follow through.

Most students finished in class, but not all did. They can finish it for homework.

We also quickly reviewed our SMART goals. I had marked the students' goals to indicate if anything (the S, M, A, R, or T) was missing or incorrect. Students can correct their SMART goals to get full credit.

Today's Journal Prompt

If three birds are perched on a tree branch and two decide to fly away, how many birds are left on the branch? How did you arrive at your answer? (Write about your progress toward your SMART goal when you complete the above.)

Homework

Complete the comic strip as necessary.
