A goal is only useful insofar as we see it through. If we don't, it's fairly useless. Today we looked at how we might possible fail to follow through but in a lighthearted way: students discussed, planned, and created a comic strip about someone who goes through all the plans to make a great goal but the fails to follow through.
Most students finished in class, but not all did. They can finish it for homework.
We also quickly reviewed our SMART goals. I had marked the students' goals to indicate if anything (the S, M, A, R, or T) was missing or incorrect. Students can correct their SMART goals to get full credit.
