Students today had their second Socratic Seminar.
They were supposed to discuss the leadership article we read yesterday. We'd prepared the discussion at the end of class yesterday and for homework as needed yesterday, but we didn't get to it because of a previously-unseen teaching opportunity.
Free topic day: write about whatever school topic you want. Some ideas:
-How are other classes going? Any grades you’re concerned about? What are you doing to fix that?
-How is your social life at the new school? Are you making some good friends? Do you have a group of friends where you feel like you belong?
-What is one thing you would change about how things are going this year?
-Sixth-graders: how is the transition to middle school?
-Former home-schoolers: how is the transition to a more formal school setting going?
Make sure you've completed the Socratic Seminar / Lit Circle preparation sheet (from Tuesday)
